So at least whatever tuning was done for recordings on the phone didn't seem to affect it, at least as far as I could see.

I figured I'd try and see just how bad it would show up so I installed the app, opened up Audacity, and tried recording something and found that the audio whine/static/whatever that normally showed up in recordings on my phone didn't really show up on the Audacity recording (there was a little something when I used Wi-Fi to connect, and basically nothing when I used Bluetooth or USB). Around yesterday this problem began to occur where my laptop would recognize 2 audio inputs, the built in microphone array attached with the webcam. I used to use an app called WO Mic on my old phone to use it as a microphone for my computer (as in I speak into the phone and the audio is outputted to my computer through a "device" called WO Mic Device). It also seemed to show up (though not quite as badly) when I would record something using a voice recorder app (I tried a few like Easy Voice Recorder and Audio Recorder). So I just got my Pixel 3 the other day and I didn't really know about the bad audio recording quality when it came to videos.
